So is there anyone else in this community interested in either Warhammer Fantasy or Warhammer 40K?

Both are among the grimmer and gorier subsets of fantasy with at best satirical elements assuming both the writers and the fanbase elect to remember that, though this is sadly not always so.

40K in particular is in many ways one of the most not entirely stealthy anti-fascism narratives in science fiction, it argues that even a near-omnipotent and omnscient golden god on a golden throne could not make fascism work, even if its literal target and nemesis is Hell itself with a capital H. And that even with this kind of opponent, fascism is but the dying of the light, and the all too literal demons it rouses shape the shadows with grinning fangs waiting for the embers to fade and then what it summons destroys it.

Regrettably, a series that relies on the subtlety of a sledgehammer to the face to make this point has a chronic problem with a fanbase that misses the point of one of the least subtle series and concepts in science fiction.
